Production and Operations Manager

Position: Production and Operations Manager (Permanent)
Fusion Resources are working with a well-established, engineering-focused organisation near Driffield to recruit a Production & Operations Manager to support the effective running of site-based activities. The role ensures that all aspects of production, stores and purchasing runs efficiently, safely and in line with company standards and methods while maintaining clear communication between staff and management.

This role would particularly suit someone with experience working in a manufacturing, engineering, or technically driven environment where operational planning and site coordination are essential.

Must have full UK license and own transport due to location of site.

The Role

You will support the day-to-day running of operational activities, helping to ensure workflow, resources, and priorities remain aligned with business needs.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

* Coordinating daily operational activity across production and support functions

* Aligning workload with business priorities and delivery expectations

* Supporting planning activities to maintain efficient throughput

* Working closely with internal teams to ensure operational challenges are addressed

* Maintaining oversight of production-related equipment and supporting maintenance planning

* Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste

* Supporting safe working practices and consistent operational standards

* Monitoring performance, output, and quality levels

* Supporting development and guidance of operational staff

* Ensuring site procedures and compliance requirements are followed

About You

* Experience in an operational, production, or site-based leadership role

* Background within manufacturing, engineering, or a technical environment would be highly advantageous

* Comfortable working in hands-on, process-driven settings

* Strong organisational and coordination skills

* Practical mindset with the ability to respond to changing priorities

* Understanding of health & safety within operational environments

* Must have own transport and full UK license
