Dining plays a powerful role in creating comfort, connection, and joy for our residents. We are seeking a Dining Services Director who leads with heart, believes in kindness-first leadership, and is passionate about creating exceptional dining experiences that feel warm, welcoming, and restaurant-quality.
This role is ideal for a hands-on chef and inspiring leader who loves being in the kitchen, supporting their team, and making a meaningful difference in residents’ lives—one meal at a time.
AboutThe Role
This is a working leadership position where kindness, teamwork, and excellence go hand in hand. You will cook regularly throughout the week while leading a dedicated team of cooks and servers. You’ll set the tone for a culture where team members feel supported, residents feel cared for, and every interaction reflects our mission of Where Kindness Counts

- Lead by example as a hands-on culinary leader, cooking regularly in the kitchen
- Create high-end, visually appealing, and great-tasting meals that residents truly enjoy
- Deliver dining experiences rooted in kindness, hospitality, and respect
- Foster a positive, supportive kitchen culture where team members feel valued and encouraged
- Mentor, coach, and develop a team of amazing cooks and servers
- Drive resident satisfaction through outstanding food quality and service
- Manage a successful labor and food budget, consistently staying within monthly budget goals
- Monitor food costs, labor efficiency, and ordering practices while maintaining quality
- Ensure dietary needs, food safety, and regulatory compliance are consistently met
- Collaborate with community leadership and other departments to support events and resident experiences
- Participate in a Manager on Duty rotation, including occasional Saturdays and evening community events
- Monday-Friday primary schedule
- Occasional Saturdays (shared Manager on Duty rotation)
- Occasional evenings for special community events
