The Field Marketing Manager will play a crucial role in developing and executing our field marketing strategy. Field marketing involves direct engagement with potential customers through events, trade shows, and other in-person activities. It is a critical component of our marketing strategy, designed to create brand awareness, generate leads, and drive sales opportunities by connecting with prospects in a personal and impactful way.
As an individual contributor, you will be responsible for expanding our field marketing activities from 1-2 events per month to 5-8 events per month. You will have the autonomy to make strategic decisions regarding budget allocation and will collaborate closely with various teams to achieve our lead and opportunity generation targets.
- Strategy Development:
Build and implement a comprehensive annual field marketing and event plan that aligns with sales segment pipeline targets. Strategy includes budget ownership, ensuring a positive ROI. - Pipeline Ownership:
Doesn't shy away from owning a target and getting creative or taking risks to maximize event performance. - Event Planning and Execution:
Plan, organize, and execute 5-8 events per month, including trade shows, conferences, virtual events, and local events, ensuring each event is aligned with our brand and goals. - Budget Management:
Make informed decisions on budget allocation to maximize the impact and ROI of field marketing activities. - Project Management:
Maintain an active calendar of events and the tasks associated with each event, including contracts and vendor relationships, to ensure each event runs smoothly. - Collaboration:
Partner with cross-functional teams including email marketing, sales, sales enablement, revenue operations, event marketing, and demand generation to ensure cohesive and effective marketing efforts. - Event Promotion:
Work with sales and demand generation to build a promotional plan to maximize event attendance. - Process Improvement:
Develop and refine processes to streamline field marketing operations and improve efficiency, including SLAs for cross-functional teams and automation for pre and post event communications. - Performance Analysis:
Track and analyze the performance of field marketing activities, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- 3-7 years of experience in event management, field marketing or a related role.
- Ability to build and maintain performance forecast as well as reporting on actual results with Tableau and/or Salesforce.
- Understands the different needs across various event sizes (20 person dinner, 20k attendee tradeshow) and formats (virtual, in-person).
- Able to manage multiple events simultaneously by having excellent organizational and project management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excels working in a team-centered, collaborative environment.
