Job Summary:
Crusher Maintenance is responsible for the setup, repair, and fabrication of all crusher operations. You will be working as part of a team that prioritizes safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Your daily goal will be to reduce downtime by getting the plant repaired in a timely manner, performing preventive measures during off hours, and working on relevant projects during production.
- Prioritize SAFETY FIRST and foster a culture of safety!
- Fabricate new equipment using oxy‑acetylene torches, plasma cutter, MIG and stick welders
- Change, add, and/or remove head and tail pulleys, material screens, troughing rollers, conveyor belts and shafts
- Replace screens and inspect plants before start‑up
- Conduct workplace exams
- Conduct inspections to identify potential failures and/or needed repairs for equipment
- Lead in winter maintenance projects
- Be a leader to fellow team members while helping to train and teach them
- Champion new methods of equipment tracking and maintenance strategies that are implemented
- Must be a team player
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Experience in cutting, welding, and fabrication
- Working knowledge of Cones, Jaws, VSI and HSI crushers, screens, pumps, and conveyors
- 5+ years of experience in aggregates preferred
- Experience as a crusher operator preferred
- Will work mainly outdoors and in all weather conditions
- Shifts are rotating between Days and Swings/O Straight swing shift (if preferred)
- Must work at least one Saturday per month
- Will occasionally work 12+ hour days when needed
