The Compensation Analyst supports the design, implementation, and administration of Kelso’s compensation programs. This role plays a key hands‑on role in building and maintaining structured, data‑driven pay practices across a multi‑entity, acquisition‑driven organization. Reporting to the Director of Total Rewards, this position will assist in developing compensation frameworks, salary structures, and incentive programs, including sales and business development plans aligned to revenue growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesCompensation Structure & Analysis
- Support development and maintenance of job architecture, leveling, and salary bands.
- Conduct market benchmarking and compensation analysis.
- Provide pay recommendations for hires, promotions, and internal equity adjustments.
- Assist in annual merit and bonus planning processes.
- Support design and administration of sales and business development incentive programs.
- Assist with commission structures, bonus calculations, and payout tracking.
- Model financial impact of proposed incentive plans.
- Partner with Sales and Operations to ensure plan clarity and execution.
- Support compensation practices tailored to construction and MEP roles, including field leadership, project managers, estimators, and skilled trades.
- Experience in construction, MEP, or related industries strongly preferred.
- Ensure compensation practices align with wage and hour regulations.
- Support documentation, reporting, and audit readiness.
- Assist with compensation due diligence and integration efforts during acquisitions.
- 4–7 years of compensation or Total Rewards experience.
- Experience supporting development of compensation structures and incentive plans.
- Strong analytical and modeling skills.
- Experience in construction, MEP, industrial, or field-based workforce environments strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of multi‑state wage and hour regulations.
- Experience with Workday is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (CCP preferred but not required).
