Bamboo
HR is looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the Payroll Experience team, owning critical and high-impact areas of payroll. This is a Utah-based hybrid position with some regular in-office days and a background and credit check are required.
This role sits at the heart of payroll execution, impacting payroll correctness, confidence, and efficiency for Bamboo
HR customers and internal teams. You will lead cross-functional efforts to modernize workflows, reduce friction and errors, and deliver experiences that support the growth of Bamboo
HR's payroll business. Exposure to payroll, time tracking, compensation, finance, or accounting platforms is a strong plus.
- Develop a profound understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the Payroll domain through research and regular interaction with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Define opportunities with a clear strategic vision and communicate it to your team, stakeholders, and executive leadership.
- Develop a plan to prioritize opportunities for improvement and deliver high-value solutions to improve customer and business outcomes.
- Build trust with key stakeholders and maintain alignment around strategy, roadmap, and prioritization.
- Communicate technical requirements effectively and translate them into actionable specifications for engineering.
- Define solution scopes to their most compact state for early customer deployment.
- Assess the effectiveness of solutions through quantitative and qualitative measures to ensure they address identified challenges.
- Own and maintain the quality of the product areas your team is responsible for; deliver world-class software in every release.
- Inspire and lead a team to achieve excellence and foster a culture of high performance.
- You feel aligned with the Bamboo
HR values - 4+ years experience as a product manager with a track record of shipping impactful products
- Experience in Payroll, Fintech, Accounting, or Payments; experience with optimizing run payroll workflows and paystubs is a plus
- Demonstrable experience leading a team
- Strong ability to design simple, intuitive user interfaces and communicate product decisions clearly
- Ability to work with qualitative customer insights and quantitative data to inform decisions
- Entrepreneurial, self-driven, organized, and intentional
- Ability to switch between creative and analytical thinking
- Experience delivering internal solutions that meaningfully improve user lives; AI experience is a bonus
- Interest in AI integration and a forward-thinking mindset about AI in HR solutions
