Payroll Associate

Location:

Dracut, MA (Onsite daily with some schedule flexibility)

Pay Rate:
Targeting ~$28/hr to $30/hr

A well-established manufacturing company is seeking a Payroll Associate to take ownership of the payroll function in a stable, family-oriented environment. This role reports directly to the HR Manager and works closely with Finance.

The organization is part of a privately held manufacturing group with a long-term ownership mindset, low turnover, and a strong commitment to its employees.

What You'll Be Doing

+ Own end-to-end payroll processing with full responsibility for accuracy and timeliness

+ Review, verify, and transmit payroll data through the payroll system

+ Serve as the main point of contact for employee payroll questions

+ Maintain payroll records, including accruals and employee account information

+ Prepare payroll-related reports and respond to management requests

+ Partner with the payroll provider to resolve issues efficiently

+ Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations and internal controls

+ Support HR and Accounting with payroll-related initiatives as needed

What We're Looking For

+ Hands-on payroll experience with the ability to run payroll independently

+ ADP Workforce Now experience is required (must be able to hit the ground running)

+ Strong understanding of payroll taxes and end-to-end payroll processes

+ High attention to detail with the ability to meet strict deadlines

+ Comfortable working autonomously in a deadline-driven environment

+ Solid Excel skills

+ Professional, responsive, and service-oriented communication style

+ Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus, not required

Requirements - Strong knowledge of payroll processes and end-to-end payroll systems.

- Experience with automated time and attendance systems such as ADP Workforce Now.

- Solid understanding of payroll tax regulations and their application to payroll processing.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.

- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines with precision.

- Bilingual skills in Spanish and English are a plus.

- Familiarity with multi-state payroll and handling payroll for 101-500 employees.
