Overview
Leverage your mechanical engineering expertise to model, design, test, and implement innovative manufacturing systems and products for clients across multiple industries. Apply system thinking in diverse, fast-paced environments where proactive problem-solving is critical for success. Focus on creating detailed product/process designs that are explicitly suitable for scale-up and high-volume production.
Core Responsibilities- Convert product and system concepts into effective, efficient mechanical solutions ready for manufacturing scale-up
- Work closely with lead Process Engineers and/or Project Managers to align technical solutions with business objectives
- Maintain an effective network with customers and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution
- Create comprehensive technical documentation (design specs, risk analyses, test protocols, hand-off packages) required for production transfer
- MSc degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills with proven ability to integrate mechanics and system engineering
- Deep motivation to combine mechanics with mechatronic disciplines: fine mechanics, dynamics & control, thermal behavior/control, materials behavior, and metrology (positioning and measurement)
- Proficiency in Python programming for data analysis and automation
- Proficiency in 3D CAD for mechanical design
- Proficiency in MS Office tools for documentation and reporting
- Basic knowledge of design controls and risk management standards (ISO 13485, ISO 14971, or equivalent)
- Basic understanding of design-for-quality principles, critical-to-quality testing, and regulatory requirements
