POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the safe, effective and efficient management and administration of all aspects of facility operations including employees, equipment and patrons. Reports directly to the Recreation Supervisor. Deals effectively with people of all ages and abilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversees the management and fiscal operations of the pool.
• Supervises staff including lifeguards and cashiers.
• Coordinates pool usage with outside contractors.
• Operate and maintain all pool equipment.
• Identify facility needs and take appropriate action.
• Perform the duties of Senior Lifeguard and Head Cashier, as needed.
• Execute Emergency Action Plan to ensure swift and effective response in critical situations.
• Promote pool programs.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Current Lifeguard Certification and CPR for the Professional Rescuer or Lifeguard Management Certification and CPR, AED, and First Aid.
• Certified Pool Operator/Aquatic Facility Operator or willingness to obtain certification.
• Considerable knowledge of swimming pool operations, sanitation, programming, and safety required.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule up to but not exceeding 40 hours/week including weekends, holidays, evenings (weather dependent).
• Possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Brings valuable leadership experience with a proven track record of effectively leading and motivating teams.
• Current FBI Fingerprint, PA Child Abuse, and PA Criminal Background check clearances as required by law.
• Current PA Pesticide Applicator Certification or willingness to obtain certification.
