Treston Security Services is seeking a
professional and attentive Unarmed Security Officer
to join our professional security team located
in Downey, CA
.

The ideal candidate will be able to maintain a continuous and professional security presence at the assigned property in order to prevent trespassing, loitering, vandalism and any unauthorized access.

This position requires strong observation skills, excellent communication, and the ability to handle dynamic situations with professionalism and composure.

• Arrive on time for proper shift transition.
• Detect and respond to alarms and emergency situations.
• Conduct perimeter walks to identify any signs of forced entry or damage.
• Conduct hourly foot patrols of the entire property and ensure no unauthorized individuals are present.
• Remain visible and alert at all times and maintain proper phone communication with the command center as needed.
• Complete reports, including oral and written briefings, and submit incident reports immediately after any notable event.
• Maintain clear, professional and accurate documentation at all times.
• Communicate appropriately with staff and principals.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist with safety concerns.
• Uphold company and client policies while representing Treston Security Services with integrity.
• All other duties, as assigned.

• Valid California BSIS Guard Card
  (Required)
• Handcuff, Baton or Pepper Spray Permits (Preferred)
• High School Diploma or GED
  (Preferred)
• Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to tactfully influence, resolve conflict, and remain flexible.
• Ability to interact with all levels of corporate leadership, form liaison internally and externally with other departments and personnel.
• Ability to brief, defend, influence, and instruct others on security requirements and policies.
• Ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently at a high level without constant supervision.
