OPPORTUNITY FOR TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENTAccepting online applications until filled. There are six positions available. Most temporary positions do not include benefits or paid time off except as provided by law.
The Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) is the nation’s largest regional education agency, supporting 80 public school districts and numerous other agencies that serve two million preschool and school‑age children in the region.
Responsibilities- Enter new hire pension information into CalSTRS and CalPERS systems.
- Process terminations and upload retirement‑related files.
- Track pending retirement requests.
- Serve as a liaison between LACOE districts and the retirement systems.
- Respond to inquiries and provide ongoing support.
- Complete additional related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting preferred.
- One year of HR, payroll, or retirement experience preferred.
Standard work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; overtime may be required. Assigned individuals are expected to start as soon as possible until June 30, 2026.
