Logistics Clerk

Description We are looking for a dedicated Logistics Clerk to join our team in Downey, California. This Contract to permanent position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in logistics or administrative roles who thrive in fast-paced environments. The role involves ensuring the seamless coordination of logistics operations, managing customer communications, and maintaining accurate records to support timely order processing and delivery.

Responsibilities:

- Generate and distribute invoices to customers promptly and accurately.

- Process purchase orders with precision and ensure all data is correctly entered into the system.

- Monitor incoming shipments and containers, providing regular updates to customers and the internal team.

- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records through efficient data entry.

- Collaborate with vendors, carriers, and internal departments to facilitate on-time deliveries.

- Resolve shipping or order-related issues by troubleshooting and implementing solutions.

- Perform general office duties to support the overall logistics operations.

- Communicate effectively with customers to address inquiries and ensure a high level of service. Requirements - At least 1 year of experience in logistics, shipping/receiving, order processing, or a related administrative role.

- Familiarity with manufacturing or distribution environments is preferred.

- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.

- Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a time-sensitive setting.
