Retail Sales Lead

Trek Store Downers Grove an independent bicycle retailer is looking for a sales lead to join our team. This person will actively seek out and engage prospective customers to sell our product and/or services and help support our service team. They will be responsible for sales training, product knowledge, store presentation, and managing front‑of‑house.

The ideal candidate is passionate about bicycles and has a willingness to share knowledge and love of the sport. Be energetic, positive, and willing to chip in with all aspects of the business. You must be able to work weekends and understand that this is retail with the hours that go with it.

Compensation is 50,000 USD plus based on experience and growth.

Experience in a bicycle retail environment is required.

• Demonstrate, promote, and sell Trek’s products and services. Strategically present functionality and key value propositions to prospective customers.
• Develop and foster relationships and maintain close communications with prospects to close sales and promote customer retention.
• Meet and exceed targets – achieve monthly and quarterly team goals.
• Track progress and results – record transaction and follow through with completion of sale.
• Research and understand target market – stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and Trek’s product availability. Continue education utilizing available resources.
• Train new staff.
• Maintain store presentation.
• Lead staff with a positive attitude.
