Purchasing Agent - Aerospace Manufacturing

We are seeking a Purchasing Agent to support a high-mix, machining-driven manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for sourcing materials, tooling, and services that directly support CNC and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience purchasing in a machine shop or industrial manufacturing setting and understands the urgency of production-driven procurement.

• Source and purchase raw materials, tooling, MRO supplies, and subcontract services to support production schedules
• Manage supplier relationships, pricing, lead times, and delivery performance
• Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and planning teams to support CNC and gear manufacturing operations
• Issue and manage purchase orders, confirmations, and follow-ups within ERP/MRP systems
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through supplier negotiations and alternative sourcing
• Resolve material shortages, quality issues, and delivery delays impacting production
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier documentation

• 2+ years of purchasing or buying experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience supporting CNC machining, gear manufacturing, or precision manufacturing operations
• Strong understanding of raw materials, tooling, and MRO purchasing
• Experience working within ERP/MRP systems
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
• Strong communication and supplier negotiation skills

• Experience purchasing steel, alloys, bearings, cutting tools, or machined components
• Exposure to ISO 9001 or similar quality systems
• Background in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments
