The organization is deeply rooted in the local market and is focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across a rapidly expanding primary care network.

The Clinic Manager serves as the operational anchor for a high-volume primary care clinic in Downers Grove and is responsible for overall clinic performance across people, operations, service, and financial outcomes. Reporting to a Regional Operations Director, this role partners closely with physicians and clinical teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations while positioning the clinic for significant near-term growth.

This is a visible, hands-on leadership role that requires a polished, confident operator who can build trust with physicians, lead staff effectively, and maintain calm, professional oversight in a fast-paced environment. The Clinic Manager will be in the clinic daily and is expected to serve as a steady presence for both providers and staff as patient volumes increase and the clinic scales.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop front desk, medical assistant, and administrative teams to support exceptional patient flow and service.
  • Monitor clinic KPIs and dashboards, including visit volume, access, wait times, utilization, and patient experience metrics.
  • Proactively identify operational challenges associated with growth and implement solutions to support increased scale and complexity.
  • Ensure efficient patient flow from check-in through check-out in a high-throughput environment.
  • Address and resolve patient, staff, and physician issues calmly and professionally, escalating as appropriate.
  • Partner with regional and centralized teams to implement new workflows, tools, and operational initiatives.
  • Support hiring, scheduling, performance evaluations, and corrective actions as needed to support growth.
  • Conduct regular clinic walk-throughs to ensure a safe, compliant, and well-run environment.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory, safety, and organizational standards.
  • Play a key role in preparing the clinic to scale significantly, with the opportunity to support substantial growth over time.

  • Experience working with both fee-for-service and value-based care models.
Skills & Competencies
