Job SummaryThe Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a senior executive responsible for overseeing the financial strategy, operations, and performance of affiliated entities owned by the organization’s principals. This role provides strategic leadership, financial stewardship, and operational insight to support growth, compliance, and long-term sustainability across multiple companies. The CFO will serve as a key advisor to ownership and the Board of Directors, ensuring sound financial decision‑making, regulatory compliance, and effective financial controls in a complex, multi‑entity healthcare environment.
JobQualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (required). MBA, CPA, or CMA strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 8–10 years of progressive financial leadership experience. Prior experience in healthcare and/or hospice strongly preferred. Experience overseeing multiple companies or complex organizational structures required. Experience with Quick Books and Microsoft products is required.
- Skills: Strong understanding of healthcare finance and reimbursement models. Proven ability to manage multi‑entity financial structures. Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving skills. High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism. High attention to detail. Strong leadership. Clear and professional communication skills.
Reliable transportation. Valid and current auto liability insurance. Current driver’s license.
Environmental and Working ConditionsWorks in a routine office environment. Noise level may be moderately high, the ability to work a flexible schedule and extended hours to meet deadlines. The ability to travel locally and some exposure to inclement weather. Possible exposure to toxic materials, toner, etc. Requires the ability to handle stressful situations in a calm manner.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Provide strategic financial leadership and oversight for affiliated entities owned by the organization’s principals.
- Develop and implement financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts to support organizational growth and sustainability.
- Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and month‑end and year‑end close processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial statements across multiple legal entities.
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, capital planning, and financial risk.
- Oversee intercompany transactions, allocations, and shared services accounting.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare reimbursement requirements, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
- Monitor revenue cycle performance and reimbursement trends.
- Coordinate audits, cost reports, and external financial reviews.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls and financial policies.
- Partner with ownership, the Board of Directors, and senior leadership on financial decision‑making.
- Lead, mentor, and develop finance and accounting staff.
- Collaborate with operational, clinical, HR, and compliance leadership to support organizational objectives.
- Assist with other duties assigned by ownership.
