Job DescriptionRenmo is seeking a Product Manager to own and scale our Hire Purchase product line (e.g., electronics and other essential items financed and repaid monthly). You will lead the end-to-end product lifecycle–customer journey, pricing, vendor/merchant enablement, risk alignment, and digital delivery (app/web) to grow financing volumes while protecting portfolio quality and improving customer experience.
1) Product Strategy & Roadmap- Own the Hire Purchase product vision, roadmap, and quarterly delivery plan.
- Define customer segments (salary workers, EVP partners, retail, controllers, etc.) and tailor product propositions per segment.
- Translate business goals into product requirements and prioritize based on impact, effort, and risk.
- Map and optimize the full journey: discovery
• application
• credit decision
• vendor fulfilment
• repayments
• after-sales support. - Improve onboarding clarity, affordability checks, and repayment transparency.
- Run customer research, interviews, surveys, and usability tests to inform improvements.
- Write user stories, manage backlog, and work with Engineering/Design/QA to ship features on time.
- Coordinate internal teams (Sales, Risk, Ops, Recovery, Finance, Customer Service) to deliver a smooth operational flow.
- Set up product documentation, SOPs, and training guides for internal teams and vendors.
- Build scalable merchant onboarding and catalogue management processes.
- Define SLAs for pricing, delivery timelines, returns, warranties, and dispute resolution.
- Support partnership models (commissions, rebates, bulk procurement options) working with Business Development.
- Co-design product rules with Risk: eligibility, limits, repayment plans, premium rates, and early settlement rules.
- Monitor portfolio health (delinquency trends, approvals, fraud signals) and propose risk controls without killing conversion.
- Ensure the product aligns with regulatory and compliance standards relevant to lending/consumer finance.
- Track performance using dashboards and analytics; run experiments (A/B tests) to improve conversion and repayment outcomes.
- Identify bottlenecks (drop-offs, TAT delays, fulfilment issues) and drive measurable fixes.
- Own feedback loops from customer service and recovery teams and convert insights into product updates.
- Tertiary graduate (
Bachelor's degree minimum) in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or related field. - 2+ years experience in Product Management, Product Operations, Business Analysis, or Project Management in a tech-enabled business.
- Proven experience managing digital products (mobile/web), including writing requirements and working with dev teams.
- Strong analytical ability: comfortable using data to make decisions (Excel/Google Sheets; BI tools are a plus).
- Strong stakeholder management skills‑able to align Sales, Ops, Credit/Risk, Engineering, and vendors.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Experience managing a SaaS product, Fintech, Lending, BNPL, or FMCG environment.
- Knowledge of credit underwriting, repayment collections, or consumer financing operations.
- Experience building merchant/vendor networks and fulfilment workflows.
- Familiarity with tools like Jira/Trello, Notion/Confluence, GA4/Mixpanel, Looker/Power BI.
