PositionRetail Assistant Store Manager
We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six months of management/third-key experience. This role partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations and satisfaction. The position supports creating a customer-centric environment and helps analyze store financial statements to ensure goals are met.

- Reasonable store hours: most stores open at 9 AM and close at 6 PM;

- Unlimited commission potential above hourly base rate.

The salary range is $13.00 to $17.00 per hour. Retail sales associates can earn UP TO 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $2.88 per hour on top of hourly rate. The actual pay will be based on location, qualifications, and experience. Assistant Store Managers earn commission based on productivity and may receive a performance bonus.
ResponsibilitiesThis is a representative, not exhaustive, list of duties. Responsibilities of the Assistant Store Manager include:
- Foster a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
- Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through company-prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, count cash drawers and merchandise, and protect assets according to procedures.
- Maintain asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
- Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store systems, and reporting.
- Evaluate store financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development; communicate store objectives to staff; stay up-to-date on product knowledge.
- Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager; perform other related duties as assigned.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise others and work with firearms (certification may be required).
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience; 18+ years old.
- Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays; ability to work at multiple locations as needed.
- 40+ hours per week; hours vary by business needs.
- Computer literacy; ability to operate POS systems and standard office equipment.
- Strong multi-tasking, organizational, analytical, and cash-handling skills; ability to work independently with minimal supervision; strong work ethic.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Assistant Store Managers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. Details are provided during the interview process.
