Overview

$11.00 to $14.00 per hour

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The role greets, engages, and interacts with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions, and assists with customer inquiries and problem resolution.

The associate will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms in FFL locations, and more. The full-time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate earns an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. The actual pay is based on location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greet and interact with customers to develop rapport and propose appropriate financial solutions.
• Perform open/close procedures and maintain the sales floor.
• Conduct sales and loan transactions per policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handle cash and negotiable items in accordance with policies.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Explain legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers and foster a positive customer experience.
• Complete required training and perform other related duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds; able to stand, walk, and perform duties for extended periods.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• May assist customers outside the building or retrieve products stored externally.
• Minimum Age: 18 years;
  High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong customer service orientation and teamwork; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic math; cash handling experience preferred.
• Must be able to work across multiple locations as needed and on weekends/holidays.
• Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems and office equipment.

The employee commission plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2-8% commission based on personal gross profit. Details are provided during the interview process.

Pay rates will not be below applicable local minimum wage requirements. Earned Wage Access is offered by Net Spend; enrollment and terms apply. First Cash 401K available to employees 21+.
