WhatYou Can Expect
The Development Engineer – Sustaining Co-op supports day-to-day sustaining engineering activities while gaining hands-on experience in a regulated product development environment. Working under close supervision, the co-op assists with testing, documentation updates, and basic engineering analyses to help maintain existing products and support continuous improvement initiatives.
How You ll Create Impact- Assist with sustaining engineering activities, including testing, data collection, and documentation updates
- Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) by gathering information, updating records, and tracking changes
- Execute routine verification and validation (V&V) tests according to established protocols
- Provide support for CAPA and complaint investigations through data review and documentation assistance
- Help maintain engineering documentation such as drawings, BOMs, test reports, and technical files
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Quality, Manufacturing, R&D) to address basic product or process issues

- Fundamental engineering principles and structured problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow detailed procedures, test methods, and work instructions
- Attention to detail when reviewing and maintaining technical documentation and data
- Developing communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Introductory awareness of quality systems, regulatory requirements, and design controls
- Must be actively enrolled in an academic program for the entire duration of the assignment.
- Pursuit of B.S./B.E. degree in engineering discipline. Mechanical or Biomedical majors preferred.
- GPA of 3.2+ preferred
- Must be available to work full-time (40 hours/week) throughout the co-op session
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship
- Microsoft Office:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio - Computer Aided Design Systems, GD&T experience, Project management skills, product development experience a plus
