Position OverviewHowmet Aerospace is currently looking for a Rough Utility Worker to join our Dover Casting group in Dover
, New Jersey.
The working hours for this Midnight shift are Sunday Night – Thursday Night 10 p.m. – 6 a.m. Training will occur on the Day Shift (Monday – Friday 6 a.m. – 2 p.m.) and can last several months.
New hire starting hourly rate: $25.66
; after 12 months: $28.31
. The position will receive an hourly shift premium while assigned to an off‑shift.

Environmental Health & Safety Responsibilities- Expected to assist in the implementation of EHS values and policy statements and accompanying principles.
- Comply with all department, facility, corporate and regulatory EHS regulations.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report all job‑related illness and injuries (Per Employee Handbook).
- Report all safety, health and environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.
- Attend all EHS training.
- Use Kalamazoo saw, wet saw, AW Bell, pull‑down saw and water‑jet machines or any non‑hand‑cut cutting equipment.
- Perform MP identity marking on castings to maintain traceability.
- Perform alloy verification procedure once certification is obtained.
- Keep scrap and spruing separate with proper identity.
- Perform K/O procedure, KOH soak/core removal procedure, water hone, and sand blast/pressure blast cleaning of castings.
- Maintain identity of castings through all operations.
- Maintain records as required.
- Maintain work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Follow all applicable safety rules and work in a safe manner at all times.
- Perform other functions as assigned by supervisor.
- Access to export‑controlled items is required; employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain such access.
- Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- No relocation benefit is offered. Candidates must reside within a 50‑mile radius of Dover, NJ.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must pass a visual eye exam and alloy verification certification.

- Frequent standing, walking and lifting of up to 25 pounds.
- Manufacturing environment (hot, cold, etc.).
- Use of blast machines, grinding machines, hand tools and other manufacturing equipment.
- Must be able to use hoists.
