Our client is a leading legal firm with a team of more than 50 attorneys, earning statewide, regional, and national accolades for their legal work throughout New England for nearly 45 years. The firm’s practice covers a wide range of individual, business, and corporate legal services, including Personal Injury;
Criminal & DWI/DUI Defense;
Divorce & Family Law;
Trusts, Estates, & Guardian ships;
Business & Corporate Law;
Workers’ Compensation;
Litigation;
Immigration Law; and Mediation & Arbitration.

They are looking for energetic and detail oriented full-time Legal Assistants to join their group of professionals who will be responsible for supporting trial attorneys with personal injury cases in State and Federal Courts. There are openings in both their Dover and Manchester, NH offices. Ideal candidates will have at least 1-3 years’ law firm experience. To be successful in this role, the candidate must demonstrate the ability to work as a member of a team, in addition to working independently.

Requirements:

  • Management of personal injury files
  • Experience with contacting claims adjusters
  • Experience with requesting, reviewing, and organizing medical records
  • Prepare medical evidence for trial
  • Experience with scheduling permanent impairment evaluations
  • Knowledge of Court Rules and all discovery deadlines
  • Must have excellent secretarial skills with the ability to multi-task under pressure and prioritize
  • Attention to detail and proofreading skills
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Adobe, Net Documents, scanning and maintaining electronic files is a plus

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Preparing general legal correspondence, motions, and objections
  • Assisting with discovery and document management
  • Serving and filing legal papers in various courts, with familiarity with electronic filing systems in both State and Federal Courts
  • Utilizing communication skills via email and phone with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel
  • Utilizing organization skills when preparing case files for attorneys to use at court hearings
