Location: 789 Central Avenue, Wentworth‑Douglass Hospital

Shift: Day (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday 6:45 am – 3:15 pm)

Pay Range: $17.36 – $20.41 per hour

Responsible for preventing the spread of illness by thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing patient and non‑patient areas, disposing hazardous waste correctly, and sterilizing equipment. Tasks are performed according to schedules and infection‑control guidelines.

• Complete waste‑stream removal.
• Clean and service assigned areas per established procedures.
• Move furniture, equipment, and supplies across departments.
• Operate assigned equipment such as floor machines and buffers.
• Participate in a minimum of eight unit or department meetings annually.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment at all times.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Experience: Related experience 0‑1 year preferred; no experience waiver.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe application.
• Working knowledge of tools such as vacuum cleaners and floor buffers.
