Job Summary

The Women & Children’s Center at Wentworth‑Douglass is seeking a licensed nursing assistant (LNA) for a full‑time, 36‑hour day shift. The LNA will provide hands‑on care to women, newborns, and children, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity. A sign‑on bonus is available for qualified candidates.

• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, mobility, and toileting.
• Obtain and accurately record vital signs and weights per hospital policy.
• Provide direct, hands‑on patient care including grooming, personal hygiene, and mobility support.
• Assist patients with meals and maintain proper nourishment and hydration.
• Collect, bag, and transport soiled linens.
• Assist physicians and licensed nurses with treatments and procedures as needed.
• Provide toileting and incontinence care with compassion and respect.
• Observe and promptly report changes in patient condition or family concerns to the charge nurse or supervisor.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active New Hampshire LNA certification (or ability to obtain prior to hire).
• BLS certification preferred (training available if not current).
• Previous patient care experience preferred, especially in maternal/child or pediatric care.

• Knowledgeable in general nursing assistant practices, personal care, and basic medical services.
• Knowledgeable of patient rights, privacy, and confidentiality.
• Demonstrates sensitivity to the needs of patients and employees.
• Maintains highest level of confidentiality and adheres to policies on confidentiality.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds independently.
