The Sonatina Center is a creative arts therapy practice serving children, adults, and families across New Hampshire and Maryland since 2010. We offer music therapy, mental health counseling, and enrichment programming to meet clients where they are through the power of creative expression.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We're looking for an Art Therapist to join our close-knit clinical team. This position starts part-time with a clear path to full-time within six months as you build your caseload.

- Adults
- Clients across a wide range of needs - including neurodivergent individuals, people with disabilities, and those navigating mental health challenges
- A supportive team of seven creative arts therapists who genuinely like each other
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The Essentials
- Master's Degree in Art Therapy
- Board Certified of Eligible for ATR-BC
- Licensed of Eligible for LCMHC in New Hampshire
- Experienced or strong interest working across age groups and abilities
The Intangibles
You thrive with autonomy. You don't need someone looking over your shoulder to stay motivated - you see what needs to be done and you do it. You're comfortable with technology (EHR systems, scheduling platforms, the occasional spreadsheet). You bring warmth and flexibility to your clinical work and your interactions with colleagues.
Private practice isn't always predictable. Caseloads fluctuate. Schedules shift. Some weeks feel busier than others. You're someone who can stay grounded through the natural rhythm of this work - celebrating the wins, problem-solving the challenges, and trusting the process of building something meaningful.
COMPENSATION
$40-$45/hour (clinical & documentation) | $20/hour (admin) | $15/hour (travel)
Full-time earning potential: $71, annually.
