Job Summary
Under the guidance of the supervisor, performs all diagnostic procedures with the knowledge of all pertinent and academic areas to produce consistent, high-quality exams. Works effectively with patients and physicians and maintains a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental personnel. Prioritizes the patient as number one and delivers the utmost quality as a technologist. May perform necessary procedures on patients in all age groups.
EssentialFunctions
- Perform cardiac and CT interventional procedures.
- Assist the other technologists during procedures.
- Ensure the proper exam is administered to the patient; consult provider as needed.
- Review images and studies for proper identification and quality.
- Check patient history, and obtain appropriate waivers and forms, if applicable.
- Identify patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
- Provide educational in-services to staff, advanced practice nurses and physician assistants.
- Education:
Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology required. No experience in lieu of a degree. - Licenses & Credentials:
- Radiologic Technologist [State License] – Generic (HR only preferred)
- Registered Technologist [ARRT‑R] – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification preferred
- Computed Tomography certification [ARRT‑CT] preferred
- Radiologic Technologist [State License] – Generic (HR only preferred)
- Experience:
CT experience; graduates of a formal Radiologic Technology Training program with required license and registration 0‑1 year preferred. - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency with information‑management subsystem software and CT imaging software.
- Ability to use computers and computer systems, set up functions, enter data, or process information.
- Ability to convey information effectively to others.
- Ability to stay current technically and apply new knowledge to the job.
- Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, transcription, and workplace terminology.
- Physical Requirements:
