Position: Ultrasound Technologist II, Days

Job Summary

This is a 20‑hour per week position that works Saturdays from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm and Tuesdays from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The role offers a sign‑on bonus of $20,000, full benefits, and a competitive hourly rate of $33.85 to $49.99 (minimum $41.67) based on experience. The Ultrasound Technologist will provide advanced and new ultrasound programs and examinations, serve as a resource to ultrasound staff, and guide medical sonography students and other employees.

Functions
  • Provide on‑the‑job instruction to employees in ultrasound procedures.
  • Prepare and guide diagnostic medical sonography students through ultrasound procedures.
  • Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, including transporting, transferring, immobilizing, and positioning.
  • Explain procedures to patients, addressing their physical and emotional needs.
  • Conduct advanced ultrasound technologist practitioner activities such as echocardiography, vascular studies, Doppler, and other examinations.
  • Record digital images for radiologist interpretation.
  • Assist physicians in needle biopsies, renal biopsies, and related procedures.
Qualifications
  • Education: Associate’s Degree in Diagnostic Imaging or Diagnostic Medical Sonography required;
    Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences preferred.
  • Licenses & Credentials: State‑licensed Radiologic Technologist/Technician (generic);
    State‑licensed Sonographer (generic);
    Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer;
    Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT);
    Certified Sonographer (ARDMS). Preference may be given to certified credentials.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of ultrasound scanning experience with multiple patient populations required; 0–1 year of leadership experience preferred.
  • Skills & Abilities: Good communication skills; strong problem‑solving and independent work ability; ability to guide, teach, and motivate others; business acumen.
  • Cannot accept experience in lieu of a required degree.
