EP RN in Dover, DE

A registered nurse with specialized cardiovascular and electrophysiology skills is needed to provide advanced nursing care in a high-acuity cardiac catheterization lab environment. This role requires proficiency in assisting with complex diagnostic and interventional cardiac, electrophysiology, structural heart, and neuro-interventional procedures. The position demands critical thinking, detailed patient monitoring, and the ability to work independently within a dynamic procedural setting.

Key Qualifications and

Experience:

• Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred)
• Registered Nurse license with Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Minimum of ICU, CVICU, IMC, or Cath Lab clinical experience strongly preferred
• Proven ability to independently circulate and document specialized cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures
• Familiarity with cardiac catheterizations, device implantations, electrophysiology studies, structural heart interventions, and neurovascular interventions
• Experience performing patient assessments, sedation administration, and maintaining procedural safety protocols

Responsibilities:

• Prepare procedure rooms and patients to ensure timely and safe delivery of care
• Perform comprehensive cardiovascular and electrophysiology patient assessments pre- and post-procedure
• Assist physicians throughout diagnostic and interventional procedures, including operation of cardiology equipment and monitoring systems
• Review patient charts to verify documentation, lab results, and consents; communicate concerns as appropriate
• Administer procedural sedation and accurately document all procedures and patient care in electronic systems
• Maintain safety compliance, patient privacy, and a therapeutic environment
• Support preceptorship and ongoing professional development
