Position: PT Registered Nurse (RN)

Responsibilities

Part Time Registered Nurse (RN) - Behavioral Health

We are seeking Registered Nurses to deliver high-quality, compassionate, and therapeutic patient care. Our nursing teams feature a top-of-license approach utilizing a reliable cohort of RNs, LPNs & Unit Coordinators all dedicated to patient safety and quality care.

Dover Behavioral Health System is a 104-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the Dover, Delaware area. Dover Behavioral Health System features individual units for adolescents and adults and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average, over 10,000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year. This opportunity offers working at a hospital known for its outstanding patient satisfaction, including ranking 6th for highest patient satisfaction in 2020 compared to over 200+ psychiatric hospitals.

Shift Availability:

Part Time status requires a minimum of 24-hours per week

  • Every other Weekend Rotation
  • Overtime eligible
  • Ability to pick up additional shifts

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in nursing field development aligned with facility philosophy and standards
  • Plan, provide, and evaluate patient care through quality Nursing Assessments
  • Document observations, treatments, interventions, and patient responses as per policy
  • Assign Patient Observation Rounds and duties for each shift; ensure staff compliance and completion
  • Review Patient Observation Round sheets for accuracy and completeness twice per shift
  • Serve as a leader and role model for patients and hospital staff; maintain therapeutic milieu
Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • DE or Compact RN License (or eligibility to obtain)

UHS benefits are available to employees who are regularly scheduled to work at least 30 hours per week. Coverage is effective on day 31 of employment. Eligibility for employees who are scheduled to work less than 30 hours per week varies by location.
