This is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Dover, DE. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will provide strategic leadership to the Delaware Transit Corporation, overseeing all aspects of operations and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and community needs. Responsibilities include setting long‑term strategies, managing and optimizing operations, developing business plans, overseeing the financial health of the organization, and fostering partnerships with stakeholders.
The CEO will also spearhead initiatives that implement innovative solutions to enhance transportation services, while ensuring operational efficiency, quality service delivery, and compliance with state regulations.
- Expertise in Finance, Strategic Planning, and Business Planning
- Proven experience in Operations Management and optimizing organizational processes
- Strong skills in Sales and fostering business growth
- Exceptional leadership, decision‑making, and problem‑solving abilities
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, community leaders, and private sector partners
- Experience managing large teams and overseeing complex projects
- Strong understanding of public transit systems and transportation policies is highly beneficial
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Transportation Management, Public Administration, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus
