Part of the People and Culture team, the Head of Talent and Culture is a strategic and innovative role at Migrant Help. You will be responsible for the Talent plan for our ever‑growing charity. As an inclusive and collaborative leader, you will ensure the delivery and implementation of Migrant Help’s newly agreed 5‑year strategy and support making us a Great place to Work.

Through effective communication and partnership, you will collaborate directly with the Charity’s SLT to identify and create a robust talent plan for the organisation. The role will also identify any specific OD approaches and content needed for delivery via the Leadership Academy.

Role responsibilities
  • Collaborate with P&C Director to create and deliver workforce and development planning, progress monitoring and proved regular reporting.
  • Design, deliver and report against succession and talent management approaches and plans.
  • Collaborate with OD team and Senior managers to create and oversee delivery of OD plans.
  • Monitor and address any shortfalls in delivery of talent management programmes.
  • Lead on timely and engaging Talent and Development communications and oversee activities performed by the wider talent & culture team.
  • Lead the learning and development programmes, such as the Leadership Academy, to enhance employee skills, career growth and leadership development.
  • Maximise opportunities for collaboration and partnerships within the sector.
  • Review people data and metrics to measure effectiveness of engagement and wellbeing and make data driven recommendations to improve these areas as needed.
  • Identify new opportunities to implement creative approaches in area of specialism.
  • Ensure the team consistently provides a high level of service and gather feedback to drive improvements across the People and Culture teams.
Experience and skills you need
  • Demonstrable experience of a senior generalist HR role in a comparable sized organisation.
  • Experience of creating and managing successful organisational wide talent management and succession planning programmes.
  • Experience of collaborating with others to develop an OD plan in support of organisational requirements.
  • Successful track record of deploying coaching and facilitation skills to achieve organisational outcomes.
  • Ability to motivate and engage a diverse range of stakeholders to deliver change in support of organisational and people strategies.
