SALARY RANGE: 15.75 - 23.63 HOURLY
General
Summary:
The Patient Transport Tech I is responsible for equipment management tasks within the hospital. The incumbent will keep designated equipment flowing efficiently throughout the hospital, ensuring that the equipment is properly cleaned and ready for patient use. The incumbent should be committed to continually improving our services' quality, reliability, and value. They must maintain a professional relationship with all hospital staff and other personnel and act as subject‑matter experts in customer service, equipment management, and equipment cleaning.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
- Picks up, cleans, and processes all equipment, preparing it for patient-ready use, following all manufacturer and hospital protocols.
- Performs all duties following continuous quality improvement principles and observes the principles of a high‑reliability organization.
- Delivers equipment to patient rooms or standby locations in patient‑ready condition with appropriate software, accessories, and disposables.
- Confidently communicates with clinical staff on equipment features, functionality, etc.
- Provides a quality service, performs to quality standards, and meets customer and company metrics.
- All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of responsibilities.
