Overview
Under the supervision of the Chief Clinical Officer, the Crisis Program Senior Manager is responsible for administering programmatic operations, including project/program development, contract and fee management, overall crisis staff supervision, program monitoring and reporting, and the development of new program opportunities. The incumbent ensures the operations of the 24/7 Crisis Call Center, Mobile Youth Crisis Response Program, and Crisis Bed Stabilization Program (CBSP) remain operational to serve high-risk populations with safety concerns, with rapid responses and decision making in high-risk situations involving children and youth.
EssentialFunctions Program Administration
- Provides direct supervision of Crisis Clinical Coordinators and Call Center Supervisor to ensure crisis services are provided with clinical integrity, prioritizing safety, risk factors, and best practices in 24/7 crisis intervention. Ensures program policies, procedures, and expectations are met.
- Provides direct supervision of Crisis Bed Stabilization Coordinator/Therapist to ensure CBSP is operational at all times to ensure client safety, minimize risk factors, and maintain care integrity. Ensures program policies, procedures, and expectations are met.
- Engages in planning and program conception, including the development of other 24/7 and risk-preventive services to keep children and families in the community safe.
- Implements, supports, and oversees high-intensity services within subprograms under crisis services, addressing youth at high to moderate risk for suicide, harming others, instability after trauma, or risk of removal from home due to behavioral dynamics. Subprograms require quick decision-making and turnaround time for services rendered.
- Coordinates expedited community crisis responses as needed due to emergency traumatic/loss events impacting youth in Delaware.
- Maintains monthly data and completes monthly and quarterly reporting on statewide crisis services and subprograms.
- Oversees case management and clinical documentation processes with Clinical Coordinators to establish procedures, ensure rapid completion of crisis documentation, monitor chart completeness, and maintain confidentiality.
- Collaborates with community partners (schools, emergency departments, psychiatric inpatient facilities, pediatric offices, police departments, youth mental health programs, etc.) to address crisis intervention needs.
- Ensures program compliance with agency and accreditation standards and meets contract goals and objectives relevant to the program.
- Establishes and maintains processes for effective recruitment of personnel.
- Provides direct supervision and clinical oversight of crisis clinicians, subprogram clinicians, and call center clinicians as needed when direct supervisors are unavailable or for licensure purposes.
- Provides direct supervision of Crisis Clinical Coordinators and Crisis Bed Stabilization Coordinator/Therapist and assists them in developing leadership and clinical supervisory skills.
- Intervenes daily in complex situations requiring clinical judgment to determine a path forward to keep children and others safe.
- Participates in Clinical On-Call Supervisor Rotation.
- Provides training related to best practices in youth suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention.
- Participates in professional development and learning activities related to crisis services, risk prevention, suicide prevention, clinical supervision, and other clinically relevant training.
- Adheres to the professional code of ethics and conduct.
- Maintains flexibility to meet the needs of a 24/7 crisis program.
- Communicates effectively and professionally with all stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications- Master’s Degree which qualifies for licensure in the state of Delaware as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health (LPCMH), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Psychologist.
