Job Description
As an Optimization Consultant, you’ll collaborate with healthcare clients to design, build, and configure Oracle Health (Cerner) Revenue Cycle Patient Access, Scheduling and/or Registration solutions and related integrations. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor guiding clients through workflow design decisions, interdependencies, and configuration strategies that align with operational and revenue goals.
What you’ll do:
- Consult with clients on end-to-end workflow design across Scheduling and/or Registration service lines.
- Lead build and configuration of Oracle Health Scheduling and/or Registration solutions to meet client-specific operational and workflow requirements.
- Provide solution oversight and direction to ensure alignment with downstream Revenue Cycle and clinical systems.
- Guide clients through key design decisions, highlighting system interdependencies and recommending best practices.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate solution risks and issues during design and build phases.
- Execute workflow optimization and process improvement strategies to enhance patient access efficiency and scheduling accuracy.
- Lead client‑facing meetings and working sessions, including validation, design, and review sessions.
- Partner with internal and client stakeholders to ensure a smooth implementation and adoption process.
Required experience:
- 3 years of hands‑on experience implementing, optimizing, configuring, and supporting Oracle Health (Cerner) Revenue Cycle Patient Access solutions, including Scheduling and/or Registration.
- Strong familiarity with scheduling configuration tools and end‑to‑end system design, including:
- Revenue Cycle maintenance applications
- Scheduling templates, appointment types, and resource/location setup
- Service line configuration and provider/resource mapping
- Experience configuring Scheduling across multiple specialties (e.g., radiology, therapy, rehabilitation).
- Proven ability to manage integrations with ancillary systems impacting scheduling workflows.
- Registration configuration experience
- Strong familiarity with registration configuration tools and workflow dependencies, including:
- Patient demographic and encounter setup (registration types, visit classes, and encounter mapping)
- Insurance, payer, and financial class configuration (eligibility verification rules, coverage mapping)
- Rules, alerts, and validations to support accurate and compliant patient intake
- Integration and dependency awareness with downstream billing and clinical systems
- Experience designing and configuring Registration workflows that ensure accurate patient identification, charge capture, and data integrity.

US:
Hiring Range in USD from $29.81 to $60.63 per hour; from: $62,000 to $126,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
