Duties
* Serves as the primary passport/visa (P/V) agent for all military and DoD personnel and their dependents that are serviced by the military and civilian personnel sections
* Types Visa forms and letters, receives and assembles passport applications received from either by walk-in customers or forwarded by mail and logs into computerized tracking database.
* Administers all aspects of the military promotions program
* Independently completes all paperwork necessary to process members for outbound assignments, permanent change of station orders, re-enlistments, extensions, discharges, separations, and retirements
* Updates, inquires, and processes actions through Personnel Data System and serves as a primary source of information for individuals and commanders regarding passports, promotions, assignments, permanent change of station orders, re-enlistments, extensions, discharges, separations, and retirements Requirements Conditions of employment
* Must complete initial online questionnaire and additional assessment(s)
* U.S. Citizenship is required

* Incumbent must obtain and maintain the appropriate training certifications (if applicable).
* Dependent upon mission needs, work may occasionally exceed or be outside of normal duty hours.
* Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance as a condition of employment.
* Personal data, to which the incumbent has access, are controlled by the Privacy Act of 1974 and must be safeguarded appropriately.

Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions 0203 Positions SPECIALIZED
EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-05, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of principles, theories, techniques, practices, mission and organization structure of programs and/or functional fields to support military personnel program administration responsibilities; knowledge of analytical and evaluative methods to develop, monitor, and analyze applicable statistical data to track and assess the efficiency and effectiveness of programs in order to meet strategic goals and plan improvement of programs.

Successfully completed graduate level education in a field directly related which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in
-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-05 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-06 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
