About the Role

As our Financial Paraplanner, you play a critical role in supporting our advisors and ensuring a high-quality, well-organized financial planning experience for our clients.

You will be responsible for preparing, maintaining, and advancing financial plans; coordinating client onboarding and ongoing service requests; and ensuring that nothing falls through the cracks. This role blends technical planning support with proactive client service and operational excellence.

In your first 90 days, your primary focus will be learning our systems, workflows, and service standards while delivering a consistent, five-star client experience across every interaction.

Key Responsibilities Financial Planning and Advisor Support
  • Drive the internal financial planning workflow from data gathering through plan updates
  • Review client profiles and historical information ahead of advisor meetings
  • Identify missing or outdated information (statements, tax returns, insurance policies, benefit details, etc.)
  • Build, update, and maintain financial plans in eMoney
  • Identify planning gaps, risks, and opportunities for advisor review
  • Prepare concise meeting prep materials, summaries, and talking points for advisors
  • Support ongoing plan monitoring and updates as client circumstances change
Client Onboarding and Ongoing Service
  • Coordinate a smooth, organized onboarding experience for new clients
  • Send clear, professional data-gathering emails and instructions
  • Maintain step-by-step onboarding and service checklists
  • Proactively follow up with clients to keep processes moving forward
  • Prepare and process paperwork for account openings, money movement, and maintenance
  • Track tasks, deadlines, and follow-ups in the CRM
  • Maintain accurate, organized digital and physical client records
Systems, Operations and Compliance
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of firm technology, including:
  • eMoney and custodian platforms
  • CRM systems and task automation
  • Ensure proper documentation, notes, and email archiving for compliance
  • Review accounts and paperwork for accuracy before submission
  • Assist with preparation of RMDs, beneficiary updates, and contribution tracking ahead of deadlines
Client Experience and Relationship Support
  • Prepare appointment confirmations, data requests, and follow-up communications
  • Respond to client requests with professionalism, warmth, and efficiency
  • Anticipate advisor and client needs before they arise
  • Monitor key client milestones (birthdays, anniversaries, benefit changes, renewals)
  • Contribute ideas to improve workflows, planning processes, and client experience
Marketing Support and Team Collaboration
  • Assist with client events, mailings, and outreach initiatives as needed
  • Collaborate closely with advisors and operations team members
  • Take initiative and contribute to a positive, supportive office culture

This is a performance-based role with opportunities for growth and deeper client engagement over time.

Qualifications Required
  • Associate’s degree or higher
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar administrative or client service role
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and CRM systems
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Able to manage multiple requests while staying calm and focused
  • Professional, ethical, and committed to client confidentiality
Preferred (but not required)
  • SIE, Series 7, and/or Series 63 licenses
  • Prior experience with eMoney or similar financial planning software
  • A collaborative mindset, service-oriented attitude, and sense of ownership in your work
  • Salary range: $45,000 - $65,000 commensurate with experience
