Full-time
2nd (3pm-11:30pm) and 3rd shift (11:00pm-7:30am)
Responsibilities- To quickly and accurately troubleshoot major packaging equipment problems.
- Perform scheduled preventative/predictive maintenance during maintenance windows and as required. Work with team members on Operator Asset Care (OAC).
- Provide feedback to planners and supervision regarding spare parts issues and PM accuracy.
- Perform regular reviews of machine performance, identifying problems and concerns and recommending and/or implementing technological changes to improve overall performance.
- Participate in all required training, daily direction setting & QCD meetings.
- Provide relief coverage on assigned equipment.
In order for an applicant to be awarded a job bid as line technician, one must have performed packaging maintenance work, have comparable experience and/or demonstrated technical abilities. Testing may be used to determine skills. One must possess the ability and willingness to learn and practice new skills at an accelerated pace. Must be able to effectively communicate with and coach team members on basic tasks in a professional manner.
Those with FDA regulated (food and pharam) experience is preferred but those with mechanical experience with other types of industrial equipment will be considered (airplanes, tractors, etc).
