The Volunteer Assistant Football Coach will assist with the coaching and development of the university football team. Key responsibilities include supporting day-to-day coaching activities, helping with training plans, preparing players for competitions, providing feedback to athletes, and contributing to the overall success of the program. The role also involves mentoring athletes and fostering a positive team culture. This is a part-time, on-site position located at the Delaware State University campus in Dover, DE.
Qualifications- Strong skills in Football Coaching, Coaching, and Football strategy development
- Able to use VISIO and similar software
- Excellent Communication skills to effectively interact with athletes, staff, and other stakeholders
- Experience in Training and motivating athletes to achieve peak performance
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment and provide mentorship to student-athletes
- Previous coaching or relevant sports experience at the high school, collegiate, or professional level preferred
- Commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion within the team and university community
