Teachers wanted to lead classrooms and facilitate learning in all subjects in grades 6, 7, 8 and 9. We are looking for people eager to work with students of all abilities in a non-selective school and have a deep enough command of their content area to adapt instruction to students' interests and needs. Under the supervision of the Head of School, the Long-Term Substitute Teacher (in and across their content area) will:
- Develop and implement engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum framework and personalized learning principles.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and interests of students, incorporating a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technology tools.
- Integrate service learning experiences into the curriculum, providing opportunities for students to apply their learning to real-world contexts and make meaningful contributions to their communities.
- Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress, evaluate learning outcomes, and provide timely feedback to students and families.
- Analyze assessment data to identify areas of strength and areas for growth and adjust instructional strategies and interventions accordingly to support student achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop common assessments, rubrics, and scoring guides aligned with IB standards and personalized learning goals.
- Provide academic support and enrichment opportunities to meet the diverse needs of students, including multilingual learners, students with disabilities, and students with varying levels of readiness and background knowledge.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and their families to support the development and implementation of personalized learning plans for all students.
