Extra Support (1:1) Paraprofessional - Full Time

Minimum Qualifications
  • Paraprofessional Certification
  • Must be highly qualified - an associate degree (60 college credits) or have passed the Para Pro assessment test and have your high school transcripts (or GED)
  • Strong content knowledge of middle level education preferred
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This position is contingent on the student enrolled in Capital School District and the IEP

  • Implements IEP goals under the direction of the classroom teacher.
  • Establishes and maintains a rapport with the student(s).
  • Assists in supervision of the student(s).
  • Follows through with prescribed behavioral management programs.
  • Follows written plans, seeking clarification as needed.
  • Collects and provides objective, accurate data and information to professionals as appropriate.
  • Maintains updated records and clerical responsibilities as assigned.
  • With notice and consistent with employment commitments, is available to students and parents, within reason, for educational related purposes outside the instructional day.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
