We are seeking an experienced Support Worker to provide dedicated care and support to our client who lives independently in Birchington. The client has Autism and requires assistance with challenging behaviour management
, medication administration
, and ensuring their health needs are well managed.

Your role will be to help the client live a fulfilled life, supporting their interests and promoting independence while maintaining safety and well-being.

• Support with identifying potential triggers and interpreting early warning signs of behavior escalation.
• De-escalate and defuse challenging episodes in a calm, safe, and professional manner to minimize impact.
• Provide respectful prompts and encouragement around daily living tasks, including meal preparation and eating, ensuring balance without over-prompting.
• Prepare and cook meals to meet personal preferences and dietary requirements.
• Engage with the person’s personal interests and hobbies, which include:
  • Reptiles and snakes
  • Tropical plants and cacti
  • Long walks
  • Fishing
  • Gardening
  • Learning and discussions about Chernobyl
• Promote independence while offering consistent, compassionate support tailored to the individual’s needs.

• A valid driving licence.
