Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Ventilator & Tracheostomy Unit at Douglasville Center for Nursing and Healing in Douglasville, GA. As a key member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will provide exceptional patient care to individuals with complex medical needs, utilizing your expertise in ventilator management and tracheostomy care.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to ventilator-dependent patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans
- Monitor and manage patients' ventilator settings, oxygen therapy, and other life-sustaining equipment
- Perform tracheostomy care, including suctioning, cleaning, and dressing the tracheostomy site
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless transitions and continuity of care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
- Stay current with industry developments, evidence-based practices, and regulatory requirements
- Current RN or LPN license in the state of Georgia
- Minimum of 0 years of experience in a healthcare setting (new graduates welcome to apply)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
