Medical Assistant (CMA/LPN/EMT) – Douglasville, GA
Peachtree Immediate Care has an immediate opening for a Certified Medical Assistant at our Douglasville location.
Full-time position:
Three 12-hour shifts with a rotating weekend shift. Must be willing to float between the Douglasville, Villa Rica, and Carrolton Clinics when needed.

We are seeking a caring, courteous, and efficient Certified Medical Assistant to provide high‑quality patient care and serve as a liaison between patients and medical providers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Demonstrate high level of interpersonal and communication skills necessary to consistently receive and greet visitors, patients, and staff members professionally.
- Perform selected duties within the scope of practice.
- Maintain and perform all required quality control and compliance measures put in place by CRH Healthcare.
- Maintain equipment in a clean and safe condition and prepare exams and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.
- Prepare patients for examination and treatment. Document patient complaints, vital signs, current medication, and allergies accurately.
- Initiate care of the patient before the provider on duty’s exam according to standing orders.
- Perform lab tests as directed by the Physician, PA, or NP.
- Administer medications, including PO, SQ, IM, intradermal, eye drops, ear drops, and/or topical as ordered by a CRH licensed provider.
- Perform venipuncture per policy and apply dressing as instructed.
- Follow proper procedures for the performance of Occupational Health services and for the collection of radiographic images, where applicable.
- Provide direct patient care as instructed by the Physician, PA, or NP.
- Assure that proper consents are obtained and signed.
- Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments.
- Assist the provider in preparing for minor surgeries and exams.
- Perform wound care as instructed.
- Assist with scheduling of tests and treatments/referrals.
- Allay patients’ fears, answer questions, and provide comfort as needed.
- Exhibit cooperation and a positive attitude toward other departments and physician offices.
- Follow the procedure for authorized medication administration and narcotic control.
- Communicate questions about the appropriateness of medical care through a chain of command as needed.
- Make suggestions to improve work methods.
- Other duties may be assigned within the scope of practice.
- Patient discharge – review written discharge instructions with the patient or party responsible.
- Answer telephone calls per department standards, relaying information as directed by the provider and documenting the same.
- Complete routine equipment checks and stock supplies; notify appropriate staff of items that need ordering.
- Attend pertinent in‑service and educational conferences and quarterly staff meetings.
- Take primary responsibility for keeping knowledge and skills current.
- Adhere to standards of safety and infection control in the delivery of patient care.
- Graduate of an accredited school for Medical Assistant; certification preferred.
- Licensed Practical Nurses, Emergency Medical Technicians, Basic Machine Operators, and Radiologic Technologists must be graduates of accredited schools with applicable current State licensure.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Reliable transportation to commute to assigned regional offices.
- Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and with patients in a high‑paced facility.
- Ability to escort or transport patients by wheelchair when appropriate.
- Work all shifts including day, evening, and weekend hours as needed.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Detail‑oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Prefer a minimum of 1–2 years in an outpatient/clinic setting. Duties are performed under the direct supervision of a medical provider and may vary by formal training and by State guidelines; therefore, individuals must only perform duties ordered by a medical provider and not prohibited by State regulation or statute.
Working ConditionsWorks in clean, well‑lit, heated, and air‑conditioned areas. Exposure to unpleasant sights, smells, and infectious diseases is possible. The work schedule depends on department needs and current staffing patterns. Holiday and weekend work as necessary.
