Job Overview

The Cooker Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating the cooker and associated rendering equipment to produce a high quality finished product that will meet all food safety plan and production requirements.

• Perform daily inspection of equipment to ensure safe operation, food safety and performance specifications.
• Communicate any issues with safety, food safety plan or production limitations to the management team.
• Monitor raw material bins, flow ways and all finished storage bins to ensure proper food safety and production efficiency.
• Monitor all mechanical systems to report any safety, food safety plan or mechanical issues, and react accordingly.
• Perform all necessary housekeeping duties in assigned areas.
• Assist with maintenance as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• Required to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Requires frequent standing, sitting, using hands and fingers, walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling.
• Requires good vision acuity.

• Must communicate effectively in both oral and written formats.
• Must understand fundamental principles of manufacturing.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to cross‑train personnel to replace position in the event of absence.

• Third Shift (Night Shift) – 2, 2, 3 schedule / 5:30 PM – 6:00 AM.
• Pay: $18.10 + $1.00 shift differential.
