Job Description:
Power Equipment Operator I
Schedule: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Pay Rate: $15.75 per hour
Pay Frequency: Paid weekly
The Power Equipment Operator I is responsible for supporting overall warehouse operations, including picking, put-away, inventory counting, and material handling. This role may be assigned to a specific function or rotate across multiple areas depending on business needs. The ideal candidate must be able to operate a Cherry Picker and Reach Truck ; certifications are preferred.
Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesSafely operate cherry picker and other warehouse material handling equipment.
Maintain assigned power equipment, including proper battery charging and cleaning.
Accurately label cartons with shipment and product information.
Identify and report inventory discrepancies and collaborate with team members to resolve issues.
Complete replenishment movements accurately and efficiently following established procedures.
Put away received items from the dock area accurately and completely.
Maintain organized and accurate inventory positions within warehouse racks.
Communicate issues or concerns promptly to the management team.
Transport and load materials, supplies, and finished goods using power equipment (e.g., cherry picker, EPJ, reach truck).
Maintain clean and orderly work areas at all times.
Follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or employment agreement.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of related warehouse experience or equivalent.
Ability to operate 1–3 types of powered warehouse equipment (Cherry Picker, Reach Lift, Pallet Jack, Forklift).
Knowledge of safe lifting, stacking, and material‑handling techniques.
Basic proficiency with technical machinery and RF scanners.
Understanding of inventory control, product movement, and order‑picking processes.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to perform basic math calculations.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
High attention to detail.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
