Overview

The Field Service Technician II provides on-site technical support to external customers, ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and repair of automated equipment. This role supports day-to-day service activities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.

Pay Rate

$18.00–$21.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance for automated machines and equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Diagnose electro-mechanical issues and perform corrective actions to restore equipment functionality.
  • Adjust machine settings and configurations to meet operational specifications and service requirements.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to properly position, secure, and service equipment.
  • Utilize a variety of hand and power tools to complete service tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Communicate clearly with customers, internal teams, and stakeholders regarding service activities and equipment status.
  • Maintain accurate service documentation and adhere to quality and safety standards.
  • Manage multiple service tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and service quality.
Basic Qualifications
  • Associate's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Electronics, Mechanics, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a related field service or technical support role.
  • Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting background.
  • Experience working with a wide range of tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control components of automation systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with customers, team members, and leadership.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a client-driven environment.
