Hallmark Field Merchandiser (part-time) – Dothan, AL 36303

Join Hallmark Cards as a Field Merchandiser working independently to showcase your organization, time‑management, and retailer‑relationship skills. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory, and support seasonal resets and installations as needed. On occasion you may also work with other products from different companies within the stores you service.

Job Overview

As a Field Merchandiser you will be the face of Hallmark, responsible for the entire Hallmark product display across a variety of retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers. You will use a mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor inventory both inside and outside the Hallmark department, communicate with your supervisor, provide feedback, and answer surveys for merchandising activities.

and Schedule Details
  • Hourly pay $13.00–$15.00 depending on skills and experience.
  • Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
  • Part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
  • Average weekly hours 14–18 hours per week.
  • Availability before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Day‑to‑day engagement:
    Using a Hallmark mobile device, restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products inside and outside the Hallmark department. Communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and complete required merchandising surveys. Interact professionally with store employees, management, and customers.
  • Holiday support:
    During holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, additional days and extended hours may be required. On holidays that fall on a weekend, you may be required to work the holiday itself.
  • Department resets:
    Occasionally join a team responsible for installations and various tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Notify two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekend work.
  • Team vision:
    As part of Hallmark’s field organization, support other team members as needed in their territories.
Physical Requirements

Physically demanding job requiring consistent push, pull, lift, and carry of cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the day and up to 50 pounds on occasion. Must kneel, squat, walk, and stand regularly and may be required to climb stairs and step ladders.

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Can read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to operate a digital hand‑held device to open, read, and interpret information.
  • Access to Wi‑Fi network and Internet.
  • Consistent, reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
