Registered Nurse

Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System (CAVCS) is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) for Primary Care Service in Montgomery VA Clinic at Dothan VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Dothan, AL

Demonstrates integration of biopsychosocial concepts, cognitive skills, and technically competent practice while providing care to clients or managing a program. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care based on age-specific components.

Demonstrates integration of biopsychosocial concepts, cognitive skills, and technically competent practice while providing care to clients or managing a program. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care based on age-specific components. Assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care. Maintains flexibility with a high degree of interpersonal skills, effective communication, leadership, motivation, self-direction, and on-going evaluation of activities.

Follows procedures per established policies and

guidelines. Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team.

Duties include but not limited to:

* The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing competent, evidence-based care to a patient population.

* The nurse may assist in directing the provision of nursing education, orientation, competencies and providing quality improvement and outcomes utilization.

* Partners with an interdisciplinary team to promote effective and safe care.

* Focuses on individual growth and development.

* May have oversight of licensed vocational nurses/nursing assistants as appropriate to the setting.

* Executes position responsibilities that demonstrate beginning leadership skills and may participate in specific program experiences.

* An addendum is available for specific position duties..

* Assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient transition through the continuum of patient care, patient and family education, patient self-management after discharge, and supporting factors that impact customer satisfaction.

* Partners with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary team to promote effective and safe transitions across the health care continuum.

* This nurse has fundamental outpatient experience with the situations in which they are ultimately expected to perform, integrating theoretical concepts, basic critical thinking skills, and technically skilled practice.

Pay:
