About the Facility

Laurel Oaks Behavioral Health Center is a 118 bed acute psychiatric hospital and residential treatment center for children and adolescents ages four through eighteen. The 55,000 square foot facility sits on approximately 10 acres in the southeast corner of Alabama, less than 20 miles from Florida and Georgia. The center employs about 195 staff members.

Registered Nurse (RN) will provide nursing care to psychiatric patients – children and adolescents – using the established nursing process.

Responsibilities include:

• Documentation
• Providing nursing groups
• Following program guidelines
• Medication administration
• Intervening with disturbed patients
• Admissions and discharges
• Using restraint techniques when necessary

Night shifts. Sign‑on bonus offered.

• At least 21 years of age.
• Graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing.
• Associate degree or diploma in nursing.
• Current status as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alabama.
