Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse provides nursing care to psychiatric patients (children and adolescents) utilizing the established nursing process. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Documentation
- Providing nursing groups
- Following program guidelines
- Medication administration
- Providing a safe and therapeutic environment, intervening with disturbed patients, admissions and discharges
- Using restraint techniques when necessary.

- At least 21 years of age
- Graduate from an accredited RN school of nursing
- Diploma graduate and/or an associate degree in nursing required
- Current status as a registered nurse in the State of Alabama
